Scriptures: Romans 12:4-5
For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. (NKJV)
We are the body of Christ here on Earth. The church itself and it takes everyone of us to make it complete. All of us is needed in the body of Christ.
The Bible says, ” Just as there are many parts to our bodies, so it is with Christ’s body. We are all parts of it, and it takes every one of us to make it complete, for we each have different work to do. So we belong to each other, and each needs all the others. (Romans 12:4-5 TLB)
Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, so it is with Christ’s body. We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other.
You may say ” I’m just a toenail in the body of Christ or an ankle. “Have you ever hurt your ankle or lost your toenail? You notice it. It was just a small part of your body but sure you noticed it was hurting or missing. That’s the way it is in the body of Christ. Everybody is significant.
The same thing with jigsaw puzzle. When you put them together and one piece is missing, what are you going to do? You will notice it, you will look for it. That one piece missing is important to complete the whole puzzle. Everyone is important to complete the body of Christ.
All of us have different roles and purposes, we should live in the way that Christ live on Earth. As a body of Christ, love one another, honor your brothers and sisters in Christ. Care for them and encourage one another to fulfill your purpose to one another.
” In fact, some parts of the body that seem weakest and least important are actually the most necessary. And the parts we regard as less honorable are those we clothe with the greatest care. So we carefully protect those parts that should not be seen, while the more honorable parts do not require this special care. So God has put the body together such that extra honor and care are given to those parts that have less dignity. This makes for harmony among the members, so that all the members care for each other. If one part suffers, all the parts suffer with it, and if one part is honored, all the parts are glad.” 1 Corinthians 12:22-26 (NLT)
